Join We Met in Broward and New River Theater at Riverside Hotel Fort Lauderdale for a social improv class all about thinking on your feet, playing along and laughing with people you just met.
We’ll break the ice, make things up on the spot and have some fun being creative together. Enjoy a one-hour beginner-friendly improv class. Then continue the connection during facilitated small-group conversations and mingling.
No improv or acting experience necessary. You don’t have to be funny. You don’t have to be outgoing. And you definitely don’t have to know what you’re doing. You just have to show up and be open.

Canine Connect: In Color is a dog-friendly afternoon designed to make meeting new people a little easier — because having a dog by your side is a great icebreaker.

Every game is a date, every opponent is a potential match, and every 10 minutes you’ll roll again with someone new.
We Met in Broward and The Social Point Club are bringing Backgammon Speed Dating to Wine Garden in Fort Lauderdale for hetero singles ages 25–40.
Throughout the night, you’ll rotate through a series of 10-minute backgammon speed dates, meeting someone new across the board each round. No experience necessary!

After the film, We Met in Miami will facilitate small-group conversations about what connects us to each other and how we can show up for our communities. Make new friends and dream together about what a more connected Miami could look like.

Miami New Times and We Met in Miami are bringing Vice City Pillow Talk off the page and into real life for a provocative, interactive conversation about money, gender, sex and the constantly shifting rules of modern dating.
Join New Times Culture Editor Celia Almeida, author Asha Elias and a diverse panel of experts as we unpack what dating costs us and what we expect in return.
Then it’s your turn: Weigh in during facilitated small-group discussions, hear what other Miamians really think — and maybe even meet someone IRL.

Walk a mile with a new friend. Then another. Then another!
For this year’s Give Miami 5K, walk with We Met and enjoy a unique friendship matching experience.
Join our team and here’s what happens next:
📲 We’ll take a Matchbox quiz with questions about our personalities and values.
🏁 At the start line, the first set of matches will be released. You’ll find your match and walk together for the first mile.
👯 At the first mile marker, we’ll release the second round of matches, and we’ll shuffle.
🚶Third round of matches will be released at the second mile marker.
🏅At the end of the race, you’ll not only get a medal … you’ll also have three new friends.
